1999 Top Comp Champ Mark Barhart began his title defense with a fine runner-up finish.


Cam Kallas from Salt Lake City took cool SS/TB 2000 S-10 to semi finals.


Wild I/Stick '75 Vette of Boise's Carl Downard went a number of rounds.


Dale Carlson is right there with the best of 'em. Now needs a little good luck.


The big block Chevy powered SS/AA '81 Cutlass of Idaho Falls Dan Barton.


Greg & Deb Krause brought two cars all the way out from Maple Grove, Minn. A actual neighbour of Jessie Ventura, the dash in Greg's Top Comp dragster is a work of art.


After the Sunday rain delay, we caught up to the eventual S/G winner, and Best Appearing Car of Rod Hoerner. Just as the sun was coming out we shot this neat image of the Spokane-based '63 Corvette.


Meanwhile back at HotRod city, John New (behind counter) had his hands full with a bunch of HotWheelaholics.


Comp runner-up and number one qualifier Brian Hyerstay of Eugene Oregon in his 102 cubic inch VW powered 1997 Frameworks G/Dragster.


John Hyland (near lane) had a great first round race with Mitch Myers. The EPHA car left with a .507 to Hyland's .557, but it was Hyland taking the win with a 6.06/234 to Myers' close 6.24/208.

Larry Joslin from Pocatello brought out this C/SM '82 Camaro.


One of the real wild door cars in Top Comp is Paul Snell's '87 Camaro from Sandy Utah.
