Windmills were very popular items as an uncharacteristic 17 mph headwind had the Stock and SS crews scratching their heads, and forgetting most record attempts. Seen here is Jon Cozakos from Gig Harbor.

Bob Gullett from Calgary ended day one in the 8th spot with a -0.751 11.789. Little did anyone (except maybe Bob) guess that the G/SA Nova would be in the final on Sunday.

Adam Bowdish had the mis-fortune of losing his gas cap on his first pass.

Along with a LOT of gas.

I mean a LOT!

Greg Henderson faces off against 'The Culprit' of Larry Colp.

Had dinner across from Mr. & Mrs Rod Stultz on Saturday. Nice folks! Here's the family wagon he offered to let me drive one day, beside the crowd-pleasing GT/FA of Steve Polack who runnered-up here in 1998. Friday would see the SS/MA wagon 8th at -0.694 11.696, and the Camaro just ahead in 7th with a -0.699 10.621. So anybody got a driver's suit....and want a good laugh?

Not one, but two Davis Corvettes showed here in Super Gas. First out was the 'California Tan' coloured scoopless piece of Ken Mostowich.

Out next was the white, scooped, and winged version of Spokane's James Arsenault. The flip-top beauties will be even more impressive once the paint goes on.

Then as I was cruising the pits, I notice the Hancock and Lane Pontiac show up on this 'high dollar' trailer...

...followed by the 'normal' trailer...hmmmm what's up with this?
