From Randy: I would like to clarify the rumor of me taking
the record & going home. Not the case. We waited the rest of the
day on Saturday after our teardown to get another run but as you
know it rained. We were at the track at 7.00am on Sunday & waited
until 3.00pm to run. I decided at noon I would wait until 3.00pm
before we left to go back to Calgary. A long 13hr tow. Three of
us had to be at work on Monday morning. I specifically had to be
at work at 6.00 am because I am a const. supt. It just sounds like
we came to get the record & left. Thats not the case. I would love
to win a division race but not at the cost of three people missing
work. As for me I wouldn't have my truck & trailer if it wasn't
for my job. Work first, race second. Thanks for your time.

Early in the Super Pro session this unidentified roadster got sideways
on the burnout and 'just' tagged the tree. I know what you are probably
thinking: Tree 1 - Roadster 0. Wrong again...
And despite the muscle power...
It took a gentle nudge by the towtruck to get it back in place.
Then Al blacked out those tiny, unsightly pavement chunk holes a
matching shade of black with his magic marker...
And out came the Super Stockers. Dan Barton's GT/AA went 9.85.
Local driver Rick Mckinney in his SS/KA Olds ran an 11.09.
Grossi and Jim Ezell's GT/AA Camaro.
Setters and Isherwood.
Rod Stults' SS/MA 64 Chevelle wagon.
Onto Stock and Heard was still flying the Camaro.
Little & Cal Method.
In the far lane is Larry Dowty's 76 Pinto W/SA beside the new record
holder in ET/SA and number one qualifier Randy Hutchings from Calgary
in his 81 Dodge that went 12.132/106.97. 
And the bikes were in the lanes...
...when
this happened again.
That big white streak is hail.
An impromptu hackey sack game in the lanes.
And through all that rain a couple of rays of sunshine in the form
of Tasha (left) and Tara.
A LOT of hard work got us back running.
