One very happy team.

The final saw Barnhart run a 7.65 on a 7.64 with a .515 light. MacBriar's well out here as he left far too early. Now confirmed, it was a 'rookie' photographer who flashed the multi-time Div. 7 racer just as he was lighting the second bulb. Maybe one day there will be a 'graduated' photo pass to important NHRA drag races. I have long suggested it, here's yet more proof a $2000 camera does not a professional make!

Back to the positive stuff....and once again, repeat after me, "the crew goes wild!"

And greets the returning warrior...

Probably the 1999 Div. 6 Top Comp champion Mark Barnhart from Emmett Idaho.

A bunch of California guys ran t/C for the first time, including runner-up MacBriar. Used to the southwest 7.90 class some liked T/C, some didn't.

Todd Hoerner went to the semis where he was defeated by Barnhart in a double breakout affair.

JR Leerkamp was the other semi-finalist loosing to MacBriar in a close one: .523/7.74 on a 7.45 to JR's .518/7.93 on a .94 breakout.

Don Naylor took his rare 1989 vintage Brogie digger to a quarterfinal round finish.

Top qualifier was Richmond BC's Ralph Paulik with an engine-damaging 7.18/177.20 pass. He was unable to make first round.

I believe this is number two qualifier Steve Will of Fontana, Ca. who ran a 7.26/190.15 in B1 powered dragster.
