Neat Olds with Buck Kinney sticker on window found out it ain't just horsepower in this game as his first hit early Sunday shows looooong smoke show.
Looks like my Boise taxi has arrived. Top Comp dragster of Ralph Paulik was here sorting out some off season bugs. Their offer of a ride to Firebird that fit my schedule perfectly was much appreciated!
John Riedel came up to introduce himself in the tech line, so to say hi back, I post this shot of his dragster.
Sixty something Jim Sibley ran his first race at Arlington in 1958. The old fart can still get it on with the best of them as this wild launch on his quick Suzuki shows.
We all wanted to see it run...so bad!...but some outdated pieces forced the MRP tech crew to send George Swann's AA/FD back from the head of staging. Was nice to see George take it very well, and promise to come back as soon as everthing is in place. Blown, fuel 392 sounded plenty good back in the pits.
HH is very happy to announce that The Fraser Valley Vending team is also on board the HH video team for 2000!
Trevor Lowe lived up to that new GTX sign as he tried his darndest to get down the track under power, but while the surface was pretty good, it was not quite ready for a car of this power.
It takes gonads to make one of these things look this good...
