Murray said he was outta here at 6:00, but by 7:00 had a smile back on his mug and was saying he would be back tomorrow if it's not raining. He want's another fifty BAD!

The Titanic NovaWar saw Norman's red Yenko (not original) piece go 10.74/122 to the yellow streeter's quicker 10.55/124.

One more guy I don't have a name or time for, but Olds DID run great today.

Unlike the El Camino. Check out those smoke-rings coming out the side. I have NEVER seen a car do this before! Unreal.

Then there was the early, morning, 'gotta-be-first-time-racer' in a '70 Mustang convert.

Rare ride just BAKED the right rear!

And kept going...

...to almost the 1/8th mile mark, in probably the longest right rear smoker I have ever seen here. Cool.

How's THIS for an idea for a Sportsman car? Make one so that it smokes the right rear thru the lights on every pass. That's right, all the way to the end of the quarter mile on every run. A whole class of 'em. The more smoke and the quicker the better....I could see 12 midnight driving one. I'll bet Murray Chamber could build one. I could see the roundy-round guys even liking to drive something this. Consider it the HH Challenge.... of the first year.... of the REAL MILLINNIUM... 2001! ta da

Mission 2000 Super Pro champ Vicki Strell ran career best ET today as the Chevy-powered Demon went 10.66.

Day ended with roadster sideways in it's own tranny fluid after line came off. Unbelieveable he did not contact anything....
