The coolest run of the entire weekend
came early on Saturday as the smoke from his burnout clouded the view
of Steve Huff.
Ron Augustine rode out this big power stand about 500 feet out to a 7.76/155. Not enough to make four bike field Sunday.
'Crazy' Chris Martin's rat expired in a vented state on his first pass. Tough break for the Honest Performance Chevelle.
Murray coasted to an easy 7.85/178 opening round number.
Then came this. From a proud horsepower
state, the 1949 Ford coupe of Shane Heintz from Bozeman Montana.
Here is Paul Nowak's dragster and the Dave Barcelone Corvette.
A bonus was the beautiful rat-powerd green meanie of Trevor Willms from Lynwood WA.
From the ROCK 101 tower "high
above the pits of Bremerton Raceway' we see from left.
Randy Bradford had the Fiat out running on about 55%. Had clutch problems but got down the track pretty well.
First pair out in second session was Huff and Dave O'Hara from Surrey, BC. Huff goes 8.13/158 beside O'Hara's personal best 7.01/193! |
