Mission Raceway Sunday May 20, 2001
This is by far the most spectacular sounding engine failure I have EVER video taped!
The eventual race runner up, Dave Galbiati, of Sardis had this very brief run. This thing just STOPPED dead in it's tracks a few feet out, the sound of internal parts colliding sound like nothing I have ever heard before. I'm sorry but I've never had a racer misfortune cause me to absoutely play it over-and-over, and laugh my ass off every single time, like this thing does...I'll try to post it tomorrow with the Murray stuff.
Roy Moznik was number two in Pro Street with killer 7.73/176.92.
Brian Lane was on the bottle for the first time since drastic suspension mods and 632 inch Musi Motor went into box. Note left front tire locked and smoking as slicks BITE...
Ya, that would be a problem. Even though they released a long way back...
oh YES a definate problem...
nonononononono....
no.
The amazing 1966 Nova of Marysville Washington's Rod Pickett. Major Chevrolet qualifed one in S Street at 8.61/159.
But it was Fast Hemi hisself dominating Real Street. The number one qualifier at 10.02/133.65 the '69 (how big?) Hemi Super Bee was impressive. |
