West Coast Pro Mods Mission Sunday Sept. 2/01
Final was good one as underdog Lowe hung in there all the way to about 800 ft when they tossed the blower belt. Neyer's Vette took the win with a 6.43/217.44 to Trevor's close 6.54/192.26
Later Andy Neyer did something we don't think has been done before-coming back via the road in front of the stands. Very cool.
Damage to Lowe's Chevy after final.
Semi final between Neyer and Smith saw the new style car run 6.44/217.29 to a 7.09/152.
The other semi was a great race with Lowe's 6.52/217.60 defeating May's 6.50/218.49!
And with the magic of the digital age we reveal Lowe's ultra trick shoebox accelerating so fast the body is going faster than the roof.........
Grosart hung in there beside May in round one with his 7.02/198 closer to May's 6.50/218 than the numbers indicate.
Lee Smith singled to a 6.51/212 in opening stanza when Costello broke.
Glen May and crew thrashed all week to get the trcuk ready. They had a wonderful time this weekend, and we were thrilled to see them out!
Trevor Lowe and team raced at Topeka last weekend, Denver two weeks ago and Boise the weekend before that. |
