West Coast Pro Mods Mission Sunday Sept. 2/01
John Costello points to his unique 'note-pad'.
Mustang III gets here by way of neat wheelies like this.
As does this Woodburn-based Vega wagon.
But our favorite was this 4-speed '69 Mustang notchback from Alberta.
MRP staff came up with a winning idea when they invited a pair of families out of the stands to come into the third floor VIP suite for a day of racing, food and non-alcoholic drinks.
New twin turbos on Dal Sangha's Mustang.
Dal also pointed to his ROCK 101 ball that he feels may
well be the fastest one on Earth at 165 mph.
Brian Lane had a couple of runs like this including a spectacular 7.90 that had the folks on the starting line shaking their heads in dis-belief!
HH is a HUGE fan of anything different, so we simply HAD to post this pic of a V8 Pony!
Bottled stang ran 9.36/145 on this run.
Cool pickup went 10.97/122.39
Dave McGee can now sit in the handicap grandstand without a guilty feeling.
In a very exciting Pro final John Korfiatis took on Cory Thompson.
The Quality Time Ford took the win as the Nova crossed the stripe wheels locked.
So Cory is off the the Race of Champions this weekend as anything less than a victory today in the 60 car Pro field would have seen David Jung in the big one at Boise. |
