Bill Meyers had a best of 7.05/186
Danny Rowe showed mucho potential with a 6.68 at only 185mph to make him first alternate in eight car qualified show.
Spectacular late afternoon qualifier between locals Glen May and Trevor Lowe resulted in side-by-side 6.48s with May's 4@221 a touch better than Lowe's 6@210.
Just figured since we'll only see this slick piece once in 2002, that one more pretty picture would be ok.
Final session saw Radford go into the number three spot with a 6.45/218 beside Spiering's 6.55/218
Smith pounded out yet another thirty with a 6.39/215 to go with his earlier 6.380
Scott Taylor let it all hang out in an attempt to run Doorslammer
With converter on kill and no wheelie bars he put it on one tire in wild double wheelie. Came back Sunday to run Super Pro with it tamed down a ton.
One of our favorite Northwest door cars is the Nova of Larry Altmayer who ran a 8.71/155 just after this burnout.
