Island Doorslammer pilot Shane Wrangler in the Charge X Camaro had one last chance to qualify Sunday morning. In an all-out pass he nearly made the program, but for reasons unknown (for sure) he lost control in the lights, spinning to a relatively safe stop in the dust and dirt well past then end of the quarter mile. He was fine and the car not bad. He'll be back.
