This blows me away as it was taken with a Kodak 127 pocket camera complete with teenie weenie PLASTIC lens...big neg helps a LOT!

Here's another 127 pick of Zeigler in the former KILLER Whipple & McCulloch Duster

Oh ya...no guardrails, on my belly, 300mm Ziess, 6x6 EAST German Pentacon Six...an you weenies think digicams are tuff to figure out!

My worst S.I.R. Jungle pic...am saving the good shit for later

Ya that's Roger Lindamood's Color Me Gone from the Coca Cola Cavalcade of Stars in 1975 nearing the lites in Kent.

You kiddies know nothing. Back in MY day when they did burnouts on nitro...

And I have saved this image for a loooong time. It was the first Saturday night in August 1978...hell it was more likely early Sunday, but it marked the end of an era. The last time 64 Funny Cars at S.I.R. ever really WAS....well...too much for words. The fans went nuts, over the fence in droves, drunk, stoned, fighting, fucking, it was totally and completely insane. I don't quite know how fitting it was that the most exciting flopper of it's day went up against maybe the most boring...and if you have to ask which is which... but I am CERTAIN that an image of this one race has never before been released to the public anywhere. I don't even rememeber who won...but hell, I don't remember much from those days. However you want to remember it or take it in for the first time. It was nights like this that will live on in legend...like the old song went

Nights are forever without you
