2003 Las Vegas NHRA Lucas Finals

Monday October 27, 2003
Off the jet and into the renter we arrived at the track late afternoon to catch the pros running under the lights and a few other diddies including some amazing stocker wheelstand pics from Rich Carlson.

"Every track manager should have to do this" said Chris Blair after a couple of laps in Ferd's digger...in a full suit on a still cookin' hot evening.

Kenny made a half pass.

Romine hung it out all the way going thru the eyes with hug flames to a 4.581/308.07

Hartley on a half hit.

Newly crowned Div. 6 Stock champ Brad Plourd made a couple of runs in Rizolli's Lucas Super Comp dragster.

John Medlin's son licensed.

"You ran a 9.25? That's pretty good Blair...oh that was the reaction time"

Russell went 200 ft

Scelzi pounded out a pretty 4.82/322!

From the previous weekend's National Event Carlson captured Dale Howard's A/SA Camaro

And from the same race the long-time lensman nailed this amazing sequence of Greg Luneack's '64 A/SA Fury pulling the wheelie of the event!

Thanks buddy! Call him at 425-239-2448 or 425-259-4222 for copies of any of the pics.

Wednesday saw the California smoke roll in obscuring everything in sight.
