Lee Smith qualified three with a 6.46/224, got by Vischer in round one, Korecki in two before saving his best run for the final against Torkelson with a nice .067/6.367/222.66 over the T-bird's .136/6.52/186. Torkelson had low ET at 6.295 to lead qualifying.
