Mission NHRA Lucas Oil National Open unofficial results

Top Fuel match race
...not real good.
No full passes by either car.

Pro Street
w - Don Murray, White Rock. .059/7.531/182.88. The Vettes does it again. With the quickest car in the division on hand, that damn green Corvette wins another NHRA Pro Street Wally. Murray and his guys just keep gettin it done as others falter, and the White Rock driver now has something like a half dozen NHRA Pro Street Wallys. Proof positive that to win Pro Street races in the northwest, six seconds at 200mph is not necessary...just yet.

We were guests of Murray and his sponsor Ward Richards of Stella's Restaurant and Lounge Saturday night. It's that familiar building that has housed many a Mission place to eat at 7230 Horne Street, right beside the steep bridge up over the railway tracks. The food was above average, my New York was about as good as I've had outside one of those zillion dollar places. We all sat out on the patio, a bunch of street guys, a few BCCCA dudes, some Albertans, the Posse were there too. It was hot evening the likes of which are rare here. We'll be back if for nothing else their $16 appy platter is head and shoulders above any I've had anywhere. Anywhere. Stella's is good food, in a building many of you who have been coming here for decades will instantly recognize. Glad they didn't hack this old place up.

ru- Garrett Richards .113/7.934/181.08. The truck was rockin' this weekend leavin the line like a 5 Litre, barkin' the tires hard. Some awesome burnouts and steady mid-sevens show their changes were dead on what they needed. Once this thing has a top end like it's bottom end, it could get wild!

In an HH exclusive, Glen Braid told us by phone today that the team will be back "under my own terms".

Alky Funny Car vs Alky Dragster 'A'

That's four races and four Wallys in-a-row since they debuted the Cavalier. .012/7.992/7.93 The class award of the day was when the Johnsons said "take as long as you need" to Evans who was still buttoning it up just prior to the call. He didn't need much time, but it was a cool thing just the same.
ru - John Evans (who with a win could have clinched the series title) .056/7.477/7.42
