Braid Sets Record, Murray Claims Title

Nobody knew at the time, but an error would give Don Murray the title, hence our lack of green Corvette images.

A longer than usual burnout helped set the stage as every person on site found a spot to watch this one. The car launched well, wheels two feet in the air. It came down and began a very straight charge to the eyes, 1320 feet away...The result being a new CPAS record 7.73/180.25 to reset his own (7.77/179) speed or elepsed time record.

Eric Blake bolts on another 200+ horsepower.

They would later come back with it set on kill. A smaller pulley along with some aero-touches on the front and Mighty Mouse was off to a 7.75/183.59 blast that showed that the ton and half MM has lots more left in it yet.

Blair and Steve tape up the grill.

Even Bad Bob was impressed! The driver of the awesome red El Camino from Oregon proved to be a real fun guy, as he and his wife charmed the locals. Here's one couple we can't wait to see back!

GS 455 Buick ran nice 12.66/105.98

Super-sano Hemi Super Bee went 12.31/112.65 on this pass, one of many it made.

Cool Mustang from Chilliwack had late model power and wailed to a 12.52/112.65.

Del Sangha took on the mighty Buick of Dale Pedersen in this early morning pairing. A neat race, both were off pace as the Ford ran 9.57/139.79 to Dale's 9.84/147.66.

Larry..I think I set an official CPSRTA(Can. Pro Street Ramp Truck ass!) Record! The beast went 14.68 @ 94.6...tranny  did'nt like it, it's damn near a non synchro now.  I guess next season we can expect the 428 to be replaced by a new 800"Kaase powerplant , a Lenco and carbon fibre  rampdeck...if those 6-49 numbers come up!

Tom 'ramped' more than a few unsuspecting guys in the opposite lane this weekend. Look for some of his fotos coming soon in our amazing 1999 foto spectacular. LP
