It's an event that may well become the largest specialty vehicle show ever in Western Canada. Last year the first annual event drew 750 cars with very little advertising. For 1998 VTV did a live on-site shoot for their Friday morning program, while today it was BCTV's turn. Mark 'The Weather Guy' Madrega was on hand featuring a half dozen cars from the B.C. Hot Rod Assc. from 7am unti 10am. This set a bunch of people from all over the lower mainland blasting down to get a choice spot, thinking the show had already started. The streets were not scheduled to open until noon, but by 9am the place was nuts.

We managed to meet lots of people and get these few pictures. Remember the event is not even scheduled to begin until 1pm, but here ya go. We'll be on hand all day until the scheduled end at 10 tonight. If you are anywhere near Vancouver BC today, this is a show that will showcase the finest rods, customs and muscle cars in the area. The setting is wonderful, and they are expecting 15,000 spectators to show up...not a conservative estimate in my mind.
