Lost then recovered all the Mission Open video last week. It was a race where we concentrated mostly on nitro and the other feature cars. Brought the still cam out for barely 50 shots. We are now finally ready to do something with that Open video and we're suddenly in the middle of the busiest month of the racing year. It will take today and tomorrow to post the Loafer photos and capture the Loafer video. Most of the video there was shot for future use in ads and such, sorry no online Loafer vids anytime soon. We shot all the finals on still. Though we've been shooting in High Definition all this year, there is little we've actually done with it in that format. Am looking at trying to have some kind of HD disc out by Xmas. The HD format war is making this way more difficult and expensive than it should be. A last option is to go Windows Media HD. Now comes the most intense three weeks of 2007. Import Invasion at Mission August 11 &12. Bucky's Nostalgia gig at Pacific Raceways Aug. 17, 18, 19 then the Night of Fire at MRP featuring not only jet floppers but an eight car field of front motored nitro nostalgia AA/FDs! Pretty awesome three weeks eh? Little bit 'o everything.
Updates on this site are a direct result of me getting back into editing the Wicked Street of the West video. If no major glitches come along (and the chances of that are...) I hope to have it done in a month...or two. To the many groups and individuals who have come to expect regular news and views here, I'm sorry. I do not expect that to perk up until this video is completed. It's a simple matter of economics folks.

So how bout that Cowie kid eh? Sounded like a fun few days in Edmonton for the Rockies. Look for a lot of the cars that ran there to be at Mission this coming weekend. Top Comp, nostalgia alky and nitro floppers, that we can now confirm does include Terry Capp in the nitro Bubble Up Trans Am. Once again the Open brings such a plethora of classes, it's difficult to keep up with it all...just one thing. The mosquitos are out and the Open goes into the evening. Bring suitable clothing and spray, and if you're considering sleeping in your trailer...get some netting or consider a motel. Paul Grant has posted some pics from the Pro Mod weekend. new Corvette Pro Mod Brian Forster sent some images of the new Corvette that Jay Syvertsen will be running later this summer. Look for some testing south of the border and MRP within the month. Blown Hemi power should make it a low, low six second ride that may well debut at Dragstock...
Woodburn is the scene for the Oregon swing on the the D6 Lucas schedule, while Ashcroft hosts a night race Saturday and those darn 'Rockies' go in Edmonton. Way too much for this kid to keep track of so I'm taking a weekend off...other than being at MRP for the Friday Night Street Legals. Bring LOTS of mosquito spray eh!
