What a difference a few months (and a few points) make...
LVMS Spring Natl Event saw 24 Comp entries, and 49 Super Stockers.
This weekend's race has 44 in Comp and 117 in Super Stock!
I must say I certainly do miss Stock and alky cars at this race...but wait'll next weekend.

RACE CITY Motion before CIty Council
Aldermen McIver and Connelly have a motion before City Council that will be voted on during the Council meeting on Monday November 3 or Tuesday November 4. The motion basically asks Council to direct the City Administration to honour the existing lease they have with Race City. This would give Race City the opportunity to continue to exist and keep Motorsport active in Calgary. ...if it passes.

I would ask that you, as a user of this facility, email your local alderman for your business or home and ask them to support this motion, and explain the affect of the loss of this facility on your business or life.

The motion does not ask for anything not already granted by the City, and I think our Aldermen need to recognize that their constituents are affected if Race City is forced to close.

Southeast and Southwest the places to be this weekend
It's a big weekend for HH-style drag racing as the NHRA comes to Las Vegas while Orlando hosts the famed World Street Nationals.

In an announcement today LVMS officials have said reserved seating for Sunday is sold out. While there remains good seats in the general admission sections this has to come as very positive news and proof race fans are still coming to LVMS in big numbers despite the economy. Note, reserved seating for Friday and Saturday is still available.

One of the most difficult decisions HH had to make in mid-2008 was graciously turning down a personal invite from track manager Carl Weisinger of Orlando Speed World Dragway. Media passes are very tight for this race and it was way cool that Carl offered one to us. Unfortunately at the time we just couldn't say for sure we could make it. Maybe next year as this is one event we simply have to go to sometime.

Though many sites and boards will be covering the race, due to illness Jimmy Biggs of Your Way Network will not be attending to do live video. Who can forget last year up till the wee hours waiting for the rain to stop along with some awesome coverage all weekend long.

We know there are a LOT of locals in Vegas not just to spectate but to race as we begin a two weekend stand at THE STRIP that will determine many, many divisional points battles.

Next week we'll be packing up and heading there to cover SEMA and the Lucas race, but until then we continue working on individual video projects.

Two Racers pass
We've just learned of the passing of two racers. Rod Teager of the famed Teager Bros. racing team recently lost a long battle with a blood disorder. Rod was the driver of the two door Nova wagon that competed in Super Gas as well as a roadster that took it's place in the 90s followed by a Firebird. He was also a long time employee of the Childs family High Performance Engines in Burnaby. There will not be a service as per a request in Rod's will. He was single and is survived by his older brothers Ken and Gary.

Another sad note came in from Ray Carlson:
Dave Saunders a great friend and Super Street racer from Kitimat passed away from cancer two weeks ago.
I got back from Fontana last week but just heard about it now. Dave had a purple Chevelle called the Purple Pig and on the back trunk it said "have you been oinked lately" Dave was one of the good racers we all get to know and admire.

In a somewhat related note Ray informed us he is also running for Area Director in the South Cariboo in Nov 15 election. Carlson is the former Mayor of 100 Mile House.

The new editing system will take some time to relearn. I spent as much time as I could on this. Kinda short, not much actual racing, but if I included a few, I know I'd only hear from all those who weren't included.

It was interesting to note that one of the racers who crashed this past weekend at the PSCA race had insurance to cover the costs of an on-track accident. With that in mind we're running this exclusive story.

Insuring Race Cars
Whether you are a fledgling race car driver with a bare bones operation, or a full-fledged professional competitor/owner with all the necessary crew, equipment, tools, and transportation assets to race the circuit, properly insuring your racing gear is a necessity. An established race competitor will own a stable of valuable race cars, tools, parts, and trailers, to transport, replace, repair, and maintain his cars and crew. Transporting a crew, including drivers, mechanics, and other key players may mean having one or several motorhomes, campers, and ATVs.

For a solitary owner/driver with limited resources, a single trailer with a tow vehicle, a mechanic or assistant, some key replacement parts and tools may get him to the track on race day. On the race track and off, every item in either inventory will be exposed to a number of risks that should be covered by one type of insurance or another. When you consider the range of risks that a race car, equipment and crew can be exposed to, no single car insurance policy will be sufficient and there are insurers who specialize in insuring racing operations.

Most of these specialty insurers would suggest race car insurance (STP - Storage, Transport and Paddock) for the times when your vehicle is off the track to cover physical damage or theft. Save money on race car insurance by hauling your race car in a covered rather than open air hauler. Storing your race car in a fully-covered, locked garage rather than an open carport will also entitle you to reduced rates. Race car insurance does not include liability coverage and is not intended for "street legal" performance vehicles. Be prepared to pay a premium of $500 to $800 per year with a $500 deductible.

"On-track" insurance is usually secured by a fairly high premium and covers just one event for damage that occurs to your car. To cover off-track damage to your trailer, insurers recommend a commercial vehicle policy which will add liability and damage coverage for your tow vehicle, trailer, motorhome, race car, and equipment.

Many race tracks, including NHRA sanctioned tracks, provide "track insurance" which covers personal injury to crew, drivers, and other participants. On tracks that do not have track insurance, a driver can purchase "owner liability insurance" to secure the same coverage. Coverage by the above policies can be augmented by a standard homeowner's policy and medical insurance.

The stakes are high for either the occasional hobbyist or the weekly competitor, due to damage, theft or injury. Insurers set their premiums based on accident statistics and the value of the property to be insured. Take the advice of those who did not check their coverage and lost. Make sure you know what is covered, cover everything that you can't afford to lose, and shop for the best rates.

Note: I just arrived home from one of the wildest weekends of drag racing I have ever witnessed in nearly 40 years of attending quarter mile competition. I dropped off my video computer to be updated the day I left and have just enuf time to post a bit here then go out pick it up and hopefully have it up and running with no issues later tonight. For now, we'll post a few still frames from some of the most spectacular video the ole HH camcorder has ever recorded. Emotions run high at PSCA Fallnats
From the Friday night test session to the final runs down the track late Sunday evening the PSCA Mickey Thompson Fall Nationals at THE STRIP at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was an emotional affair.

Because of our super busy schedule we didn't arrive in Vegas until late Friday night so we did not see Yakima driver Kurtis Tamez put his new Mustang on it's lid in the lights. We won't attempt to post any more as there's a thread on YB with some details from Kurtis here. Fortunately Kurtis was ok and Frank is his usual calm self. A tough break for a couple of super, super guys. We're really looking forward to seeing them both at SCSN.

The really sad news came mid day Saturday when word came in that noted 10.5 racer Rich Zehring's father Steve had suddenly passed away. My sincerest condolences to Rich, his family and their many friends. There is a thread going on the PSCA message board here.

As for the racing it was simply spectacular despite a small car count - in some cases caused by the carnage from three other non-injury wrecks and a number of engine failures. Though we shot the wrecks I'm not sure I'll post them due to some 'comments' on a couple of message boards. Regardless, what we will post'll floor you, here's some still frames to tease you with:


Our first thrill came in round one of Extreme Drag Radial qualifying Saturday when we saw this incredible side-by-side wheelstanding pass by Scott Oksas' Mustang and the small block Nova of Rich Hoyle who nearly duplicated his early season 600ft powerstand with this ridiculous 250 footer that saw him go past our camera position with the wheels this high. He stayed with it and still ran 8.13! On the video you can actually see Hoyle pedal this thing in mid air in between these two frames - absolutely unreal!


Eventual Outlaw runner-up Doug Sikora had this qualifying nitrous burp that surprisingly didn't cause all that much damage.


The Hairston clan in their small block twin turbo GTO laid down some awesome runs including a 6.37 in testing and lead qualifying with the event's best numbers 6.389/226.66. They lost to eventual winner Tim Henry in the semis.


2007 Xtreeme Street Champion Roger Holder stood it up large in Saturday night qualifying.


This is XDR winner Scott Oksas...on his winning final round race with Justin Bittner, and if you think the start was crazy, check out the pic below of the finish!

Kinda difficult to see but that's the big guy from Valencia in a ball of fire that burned right up to the pull off. As you'll see later in the video, he came down very hard splitting the tranny pan and leaking badly all the while keeping his foot to the floor. Just as he crossed the stripe it lit up like John Force on a bad hair day. Say what you will, it was still one of the craziest runs I have ever seen, and ya he walked away, his biggest concern being the mess he made of the track.

NHRA Pro Mod exhibition passes added to this weekend's PSCA Mickey Thompson Tires Fall Nationals at The Strip at LVMS

The popular Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA) will invade The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the Mickey Thompson Tires Fall Nationals. The PSCA's unique brand of heads-up, first-car-to-the-finish-line-wins drag racing delivers supercharged, nitrous-oxide-powered runs in excess of 220 mph on The Strip's quarter mile.

Several NHRA Pro Mod teams will be on hand at this weekend's PSCA event, making exhibition passes in preparation for the Oct. 30-Nov. 2 NHRA ACDeclo Las Vegas Nationals. On Saturday, recent Richmond, Va., event winner Jay Payne, and his wife, Shelly Anderson-Payne, will be making several passes in their Brad Anderson-tuned Valvoline cars. On Sunday, former Pro Stock driver Troy Coughlin will make runs in his JEGS-sponsored car.

Doug Lambeck hasn't officially clinched, but Pat Byron would have to win not just Vegas, but either Noble or Reynolds, Georgia, too.

Super Stock
Art Congdon needs a win to pass Brad Plourd. But, Plourd adds to his point total by winning second round at his next divisional, so that might not be enough. Steve Polack and Sean Cour still have a shot at the title, but would need to travel to Vegas and either Noble or Reynolds to have a shot.

Stock
Jody Lang is in a good position. He has the lead, and has a first round finish to improve on. Hal Sorensen is 20 points back and he, too, has a first round finish to improve on. Glenn Person needs a win just to have a chance, and Will Kelly would need to go to Vegas and Noble or Reynolds to have a chance.

Super Comp
Stefan Kondolay has a 32 point lead and has a first round finish to improve on. Cheryl Morris and Dick VanderMeer both need to go the final round to have a chance to pass Stefan. Lots of other drivers still have a chance, too, but all would need to win an event.

Super Gas
Mike Ferderer has clinched the championship.

Super Street
Nikki Cannon is the leader and has a first round finish to improve on. Tony Hernandez is in second and has a second round finish to improve on. A LOT of drivers still have a chance here, so Vegas should be wild.

Top Sportsman
Randy Johnson needs a runner-up finish and Daryl Hemley needs to win to pass Robert Matthews.

Top Dragster
Essentially a two man race between JR Leerkamp and Mike Henderson, unless some of the drivers below them go to Noble or Reynolds and Vegas. Leerkamp has a 33 point lead and both drivers can improve on a first round finish. If Leerkamp goes to the semi's, he locks out Henderson.

Sportsman Motorcycle
Assuming no one goes to Noble, Jeff Havens needs to win to pass Leeland King. However, Leeland has a second round finish to improve on, so he still controls his fate.

As I post this it's hard to believe seven years ago tonight I was with three fine friends driving north from Bakersfield after a weekend at the digs that has still not been bettered.

Speaking of The Reunion, Canucks were in the news at what was called HRHRS on DRC.

On Saturday Sherwood Park Alberta driver Lisa Lavoie's A/Fueler was involved in an incident with Darryl Waters that reporter Darryl Jackman described as: "Both were on and off the throttle and suddenly one car was completely side ways and barrel rolling down track. Both cars came together and while it appears both drivers are A-OK the same can't be said for the cars. They can be rebuilt."

Header Flames, the popular vintage message board, has posted: "Lisa was back at the track by 6:00 p.m. last evening with no apparent damage other than a huge shiner! Lucky young lady."

Speaking of web sites, I checked the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage section and it's...well, it's weak.

The other Canuck at The Patch today was Calgarian Jirka Kaplan, who in the words of Jackman was "just busy taking the class apart!" This after qualifying with a crushing 6.420/213.27 - .25 ahead of second place Mike Leonard at 6.666.

The gorgeous '63 Corvette just killed 'em in AA/GAS, on the way to a closer final round win than many expected his .151/6.624/207.18 defeating Leonard's 0.086/6.727/203.98. It has to be one of the all-time great performances in the class as Kaplan and team really delivered in front of the big boys this weekend.

The Bearspaw car came out with a very early shutoff 6.989 at 158.42 that had nearly everybody with a wtf was that kinda grin. Leonard's sixty six was low ET of that session. In the second Stanza he made Steve Woods' 6.81 199 look tame with a shattering 6.420/213.27!

Round three was the only ugly moment of the weekend when he "breaks early in his run and faces a little uncertainty going into Sunday. He had the field covered at Fontana and had a problem in the semi-final that cost him the race."

In round one Sunday the car simply thundered to a Low ET of the event 0.023 6.390 216.50 win over Scott White's 7.61.

A spectacular race in round two saw Kaplan's .100/6.412/215.87 take out the sinister four door Valiant of Sean Renteria that had a near perfect .001 and a close 6.760/204.03.

Final round was an easy bet to make but it was tight, Leonard's .088/ 6.727/203.98 right there with Jirka's winning .151/6.624/207.18.

Quite a weekend for the Canadians at The Reunion...then and now.

To my wife Denise for 17 years of loooove...and to Dave & Vicki Strell for 16 years and happy 45th tomorrow to Steve & Diane Manning (Former MRP, now Ashcroft starter), both of whom are home sick, so a big get well message too!

Powerful stuff from Will Hanna makes me wonder how many racers have actually been down to the catch fence area (all the way down) at the tracks they run to have a good look around to get familiar with just what is there in the remote chance they may be in the same spot later going way fast with little time to make a possible life saving decision...?

Time for the 2008 HH Fall Tour to Las Vegas
A lot of people knew HH was heading to America's Greatest Drag Strip this Fall, but few had any idea we were putting together the biggest, baddest series of LVMS road trips we've ever attempted.

Next weekend October 17 & 18 , we're at THE STRIP for the PSCA Fall Nationals. A coupla weeks after that we're back in Vegas for SEMA, Nitro Harleys under the lights and that lil ole' NHRA Lucas finale - that is SO welcome back after a year absence! Finally just a few days after we get home from that huge gig, we leave for the last HH drag race of 2008, and yes, we did save the best one for last. We're goin' to the fourth annual Street Car Supernationals!

It's gonna be a blast as we shoot it and post the best of it all in streaming HD! should give us enuf stuff to post well into the new year.

"I think you already know I will be there but there is a small twist other than the fact that Kurtis is gonna be running his new car in the 10.5 class Larry.

We were at the Shakedown at Etown and Kurtis talked to Steve Petty, considered by many to be the best turbo tuner on the planet and it looks like he will be there to tune Kurtis's car.

I just ordered a new BIGGER motor from Sonny's that he tells me will put a smile on my face. He has even offered to fly in and tune it for me at the event (that's a no brainer ) and it looks like Todd Hoerner will be there to help me out and see what all the excitement is about. I have a feeling we will have a new convert after the event. I'm having a blast.


I enclosed a picture of the new GTO. It will be transformed over the winter but for now the all red color and a primered scoop will have to do as the Trick Shop is slammed until December. Both cars should look way cool next year."

You have plenty of time to make plans. The official site now lists nearly 40 Pro Street entries alone including the first five second bottle car - ya, that's right, Halsey's cumin' to Vegas!

So, no excuses. This is going to be the dream door car race of the year. Orlando will be bigger, but Vegas is fast gaining the reputation of the one all the fast cars come to. Last year they set the all time quickest Pro Street field and laid down the quickest bottled street passes in history. With credentials like that, how can you question more greatness in '08.

I had a feeling something would happen if I got political...
I've just been reminded that the motorsport bailout tax break is "for all race tracks" not just NASCAR, meaning that U.S. drag strips may also be in line for some 'benefits'. Trouble is I'm of the opinion that the entire bailout itself is a bad plan that will simply delay the inevitable, and maybe even make the future worse than it already will be. That's my opinion, I'm sticking to it, and this is the last time you'll read anything more about it here.

Just got a call from Ron Houneit this morning telling about a big Nitro Harley race to be run in conjunction with the Vegas Lucas Nov. 6-8. Look for about a dozen entries including Doug Vancil along with a bunch of our west coast guys. Pretty cool bonus to what is already an awesome show.

This week our work revolves around finishing the Medicine Hat video followed by a lot of individual video jobs and an official announcement on the big upcoming HH Fall Tour. Stay tuned folks. Eagle crowns 2008 season champions
Saturday was a rough day as overnight rains forced racing to not get under way until well past noon. Once it did, a big oil down from a street Caddy took a good while to clean up. That was followed by a few hits before the computer went on the fritz, then...you guess it, just as they started the rains came.

This set the stage for an 'awards' banquet with no clear champions in Super Pro or Junior. Fortunately it still proved to be a fun night of trophies, the highlight being an hilarious slide show courtesy Jeff Buechler. For photos go to the track site.

Sunday provided a few weather-related delays that included fresh snow falling on the low hills very close to the track. Both S/P and Jr provided some excitement...and a touch of controversy.

Junior saw the top three in points race for the title which ended with Holly Clark getting by Justin Gibson for the win and the championship after taking out third place Amanda Bollinger the round previous.

It was even more exciting in Super Pro as going in Jason Gibson was tied Al Quigley followed one round back by Peter Bereditsch and Jim Behnke another one back in fourth.

After round one it was a three way tie with both Gibson and Quigley not advancing, Bereditsch now tied with both of them and Behnke in second a round back of all three. Third round was interesting as Behnke lined up beside Bereditsch. They both left nice, but Bereditsch lost traction on what may have been a spot of rain giving Behnke the win and a four way tie for fourth.

I believe it ended up Behnke got the championship on total wins as he lost to Brian Barby in the final. Regardless, it was his 7th championship in 14 years of racing at Eagle.

In Pro George Hill won over Marty Parson in that final.

First nitrous five and other insanity from E Town
It's hard to really comprehend what will come out of maybe the biggest, but most certainly quickest and fastest doorslammer race in history at Englishtown New Jersey.

Jim Halsey was the only nitrous warrior who managed a five second pass, then was dominant running sub sixes every round in an impressive display of power. On the other side of the ADRL-type event Scotty Cannon laid down a couple of awesome passes of his own before he choked in the blower final. For all the results, pics, videos etc check all your regular haunts.

About the the only other notes I can mention is from the photos I've seen the crowd was not great...there will be coverage on Speed TV with the dates so far not yet set...and despite the television coverage other video people were still allowed to shoot on the line...the lack of many engine and weight rules made for most of the amazing numbers as did near perfect weather conditions.

It remains to be seen if this kind of event is the future of doorslammer competition, but with maybe a half dozen big races each year, all-time marks falling like crazy, it hearkens back to an earlier age of pro drag racing when there were not many races, more than a few could actually have a hope of winning one, and numbers meant something.

With both Orlando and Vegas still to come on this unofficial coast-to-coast 'tour' one has to wonder how long this will stay 'cool' before somebody tries to make it a true national series and most likely fucks it up. For now enjoy cause this is the best show in drag racing bar none, and I predict the Super Car Nats at LVMS will be THE best drag race on the west coast in 2008 for people who care about little guys, performance numbers, and being able to go to a 'big' race and really not know who may win it.

And speaking of fun, Mike Peck sent us this:
Shot by Larry McFarland at the recent Medford Lucas race, Peck's crew had one of those unfortunate moments we all have. In this case they forgot to take the wheelie bars out of 'tow mod' resulting in a pretty wild wheelstand. Mike tells HH that "it surprsed the shit outta me"! He added that upon decent minimal damage occurred.

OVER 600 RACERS WILL COMPETE FOR $45,000 PURSE AT NAPA HALLOWEEN CLASSIC XV AT FIREBIRD

Unlike any other event all season long, the NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic presented by Peterson Toyota is packed with racing from Wednesday, October 15th until the boo bash comes to a close on Sunday, October 19th.

Classic XV is open to any and all participants, as over 600 racers are anticipated from twelve western states and two Canadian provinces for a purse topping a record $45,000 in cash.

All the festivities take place at Firebird Raceway, located 5 miles north of the Hwy 44 on Hwy 16-northwest of Idaho's capital city of Boise.

The Classic is much more than a drag racing event, it represents the true "festive atmosphere" that surrounds one of America's most popular holidays-HALLOWEEN!

Saturday, October 18th, is the key day as far as Halloween fanfare is concerned. Activities include Kid's Games from 4 pm - 6 pm, followed by one of this community's largest Costume contests. Special Hayrides will commence shortly after the games conclude. At 6 pm, the Witching Hour begins. This is the moment all kids are released throughout the pit area of Firebird to "Trick or Treat" from race trailer to trailer, motorhome to travel trailer in an incredible journey and pursuit of candy and goodies from the Firebird racing community.

Beginning at 8 pm, it's the Adults turn to join in on the festivities in an event coined: "the largest costume party at a Drag Strip in the west". Special awards and prizes will go out to the top costumes, along with additional merits being extended to those teams who excel in the incredible "decorated pit-space" competition.

Easily one of the most anticipated activities of the weekend will be Air Firebird Wheelstanding Show. Racers will have an opportunity to score the "title" for both highest and longest wheelstand on Saturday evening at 7:30 pm.

Racers may enter the event on any day of the weekend. Free camping is offered to all participants who secure full weekend credentials.

Gates open daily at 9 am, followed by first round special Gambler races start at 1 pm on Thursday and Friday, while the Classic race itself starts at 3 pm on Saturday and concludes on Sunday. One of the highlights to the weekend will be the Top Gun race open to the quickest 16 open wheelers and the 16 quickest full-bodied rides at the event. Qualifying will take place on Thursday and Friday, while first round of Top Gun kicks off at 12:30 pm on Saturday.

Adult tickets can be purchased at the track daily for: $12 Wed, Thurs., & Fri., $15 for Saturday or Sunday, which includes pit-side access, kid's 6-12 are $5 daily and toddlers 5 & under are free.

It's Eagle time at HH!
As we put the finishing touches on the Eagle Motorplex 2008 video we want to remind yawl that their last race weekend is just a couple of days away. Saturday sees the final points race of they year and checking their standings it looks like this will be very entertaining. As many as FIVE are in contention for Super Pro, while Chris Stone looks to have Pro all sewed up, and Martin Dykstyra is looking strong in Sportsman. Dave Copeland leads in snow bike, and three racers can win Junior.

Saturday night we're gonna have a surprise when we first show the 'video' and that's all I'll say for now on that.

Sunday they'll begin when they awaken, so don't rush out there. When they do look for some kind of cool low ET heads-up race. Can't recall the details, but check the Eagle forum for more.

With this weekend fast approaching, excitement is growing with the classes being so close. Who will be the top three in each class?

With mother nature not being sure what she wants to give us for weather, we are going to make every effort to make the final race happen, whether it is Saturday or Sunday. We will be going ahead with the banquet of course but may not be able to present the class awards then [at the banquet]. If for whatever reason we can't get the race in this weekend, we will use the following Saturday (Oct. 11th) as the rainout day. You must be in attendance this weekend and purchased a tech card to be able to run on that Saturday if it is rescheduled! There will be NO buy-ins that day. If there happens to be a tie in any class [top 3] in points, there will be a tie breaker at the completion of the race to determine the final standings.

The banquet looks like it should be fabulous again with Gordie from the Wander Inn doing the dinner for us, with some dancing and partying after the award presentations.

We will be again running the shuttle bus back and forth from the Cache Creek Hall to the track all night. There will be security at the track while we are at the party.

If you haven't gotten your ticket yet, please let us know as we need to determine what we require for the dinner. There will be some available at the track, but not sure how many.

The Handlers' Racing Association, Inc., dba Bremerton Raceway will hold their last race of the season this weekend.
The gates open this Friday, October 3rd at 3 pm for Street Legal's and a Test and Tune. Racing will begin at 4 pm. Tech cards are $25.00 for car and driver. Gate admission is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for active duty military and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.

Saturday will be a Test & Tune and the Northwest Pro Street Association qualifying. Weather permitting; there will be a cash bash in the afternoon. DRAGFOOLS.COM will present the 1st annual Jr. Dragster Championships. The gates open at 8 am, racing starts at 9 am. Qualifying for Jrs. starts at 9:00 am. DRAGFOOLS.COM will be providing Chili, Hot Dogs and a beverage for all JR. Drag Racers and families about mid day. Saturday evening there will be an outdoor movie with popcorn. You just need to bring your chairs. Tech cards are $35.00, car and driver.

Sunday the gates open at 7 am for the Season Final, the 2008 King of the Track and Northwest Pro Street Association Meet #8. The King of the Track race will be a run off of the 2008 bracket champions; Sportsman: Rusty Hammock, High School: Joey Fielder, Pro: Sherry Barnett, Motorcycle: Jim Funderburg and Super Pro: Robert Zurbrugg. The purse for the Season Final will be determined by the number of participants. The trailer give away drawing will be held rain or shine! You must be present to win. Tech cards are $35.00, car and driver for Sportsman, and Pro brackets. Super Pro and Motorcycle fees are $40.00 per car and driver. Gate admission is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for Active Duty Military and children under 12 are admitted free if they are accompanied by an adult.

We ask everyone to bring non-perishable foods to be donated to the Bremerton Food Line.

The car is starting to get pushed back into shape (an hour with the porta power and the body is almost as square as it once was) Got a body guy coming to give me quote on fixing it so hopefully I will only have to give him one arm.

Must say I was very impressed how the crew at the track took care of me an the ol Thunder Spud. I got some snazzy looking bruises from the belts but sure am glad I always crank them down tight. Its amazing how all the safety gear you buy and bitch about buying all comes together and works like a charm.(that window net was a neat feature to have as the pavement was sliding buy).

Just had to post some info and a couple of pics of this slick new piece.

Its the former Just PlummKrazy. Ran 8.90's as wheelstander.(haven't been able to run Mission for a number of years now due to work schedule) I have owned car for about 10 yrs now(doesn't seem like it)

Its a 572 all aluminum Mopar engine built by Mopar Engines West. I supplied the parts, chose the color scheme, & had all the aluminum mirror polished then sent engine in pieces to them.(they had a lot of customers ogling the motor)

Tranny is a Coan SuperGlide, convertors are Coan. Rearend custom fabricated 9" by Bill Scribner.
Sandblasting was sponsored by Sandblasters Inc. in Marysville.
