Please note, all MRP Lucas etc video customers. Took me all this past week to catch up and now am off to Ashcroft for the Open. All videos will be 'in the mail' within a week. If I don't have your mail address please e-mail it to me asap.
All remaining MRP Lucas class videos now posted. Complete link list here. Thank you to the many who have already sent positive e-mails on the videos! It's a ugly job, but somebody has to do it eh...lol! What a weeks it's been. The Mission Lucas turned out to be a wonderful race, one of the best ever at the now 16 year old strip. A couple of glitches here and there, but overall just a great race. Unfortunately I'll just not be able to do it justice with everything I'd like to post. A few more videos to do, but sadly I simply won't have the time to do an alky dragster and funny car highlight vid. Time has sinply run out, now it's on to the next event this coming weekend. Some personal matters (that end this week after a long haul) will end and so we'll be able to really get on track from here on. My apologies to the alky racers, but I do what I can do and the alky stuff takes a lot more time to do well than the other classes. That's when HH goes to the Eagle Motorplex for the ERA's biggest race of the year - the Lordco Auto Parts NHRA National Open. This is the first of four visits we'll make to the high desert strip and we're really looking forward to it. There have been a bunch of improvements made and if the butts in the seats at the bike drags recently is any indication, their promotions should make for a great crowd this weekend. We'll post complete results, pics and vids next week. Not much more for the moment, we'll see ya Friday night at MRP then Eagle Saturday and Sunday. Race ON! Ryan Warter Comp qualifying video

Test n Tune notes from Mission Lucas It's been hectic around here the past week with a lot of personal stuff that took a ton of time. So much so that we flat forgot to post a release that 1320tv.com will be hosting all our video from this Lucas weekend at Mission. That being said, and our schedule each day for the next three roughly 5am - midnight, the videos will be delayed until Tuesday or so. It'll be worth the wait however as just today we got some great video. Worst regret of the day was going to the lil boyz room as Tom Gaynor...not Tommy...put the ex-POS racing Firebird Stocker on the back bumper for about 200 ft. in the right lane. "I had never been this high in my life" he said later. "And it wasn't coming down." Carlson has stills, so we'll have those for ya asap. The Double A 69 Camaro of those Sorensen Bros. had traction
problems most of the day...which started after 12 noon due to wet stuff
last nite....then put it all together with a 9.88/132.56 that was simply
beauty in motion. Division Champ Hough made four attempts ending with a major oildown 5.78/254.02. The only full alky pass from about a half dozen ana few who ran mostly 60 footers here...often because of tire shake. Gary Ormsby Jr. in the Jeff Johnson prepared, Hugh Ridley owned, ex-Brandon Johnson car, hit the wall past the finish line after an early shutoff pass that saw him start in the left lane and finish flat against the right wall. Second hand word is he's ok and the car can be fixed. Casey Plazier looking awesome in the Ken Reich Comp ride running a gorgeous 8.35/161.60 in the CSMA Cavalier. Talk is of as many as 20 Comp cars here. First surprise entrant Phil Cocuzza had problems getting down the track today. Bruce Perkin went 8.78/153.53 in E/SM trim. George Evans going a hand-slapping 7.42/183.71 in the new Evan Bros Lucas Oil mouse motored blown Chevy 'Super Comp' dragster. Track was just ok as it took a hit last weekend with the massive heat and bracket and street car turnout then torrential rains right up until early morning today. It should be fine tomorrow, as the weather will be much warmer and less humid. Maybe not perfect, but by Sat and Sun this place is gonna be sticky and quick. The weather report is like none this race has seen in nearly a decade. Near perfect conditions right thru the weekend. Lots more neat stuff as NHRA brings some kinda show here this weekend, but two things easily stood above all else this day. The sight of Rod Stults back at the digs, smiling, wheelstanding and the Godfather of Northwest drag racing, Bill Kost hangin out with Pete, Dino and all his friends. Damn but I didn't see Stan Hawes here today too. Gonna be a great three days of drag racing my friends. We'll update nightly as we can.

CMDRA Ashcroft Results Sunday May 18 Top Fuel Modified Hot Harley
At MRP, a rather 'normal' Friday was followed by great turnouts both Saturday and Sunday. Super Pro saw 23 cars in round one Saturday and 25 Sunday. There were 50 in Pro Saturday, 46 Sunday. Sportsman was 47 and 30 Sunday. The RJ Enterprises/VP Fuels Canada West Doorslammers brought in 18 fast door cars. The Lordco Super Combo attracted 22/19 and the BC Super Shifters had 21/20, while just over a dozen ran Hot Rod both days. Junior and bike were under a dozen each.
Mike Peck got his front motored dragster down to 7.04 and will be here looking for sixes next weekend in T/D. Zazulla in the NitroLube dragster ran a career best 6.65/208.52. D6 Hall of Famer Fast Frank Nelson lived up to his nickname with new Cavlier turning in easy mid sevens, the big guy thinking he may put the Lenco back in after some concerns with the Liberty.
Eagle's CMDRA season opener featured 114 bikes, nine in Top Fuel where Ron Houniet was low qualifier and Andy Beauchemin the winner. More soon. Next up for the door car crowd, after the Mission Lucas of course, will be a CWDA points race at Pacific Raceway that we understand will feature the first serious outing by some of the new U.S. Pro Street cars. We'll be in Ashcroft that weekend for the Lordco Auto Parts NHRA National Open, but are working to get a results and photos gig for the Kent race. Quote from a Top Dragster racer at MRP yesterday:

A fabulous Boise Lucas gallery by Blair Alderton here. We loose another Though we didn't know him well, his acceptance of the third place Super Pro award at the 2007 MRP banquet was a highlight as he was truly thrilled to finish the season so well, then be brought up to be recognized in front of his peers. It really was a touching moment and for many will remain a lasting memory. The image here is a copy of the photo plaque he got that night, though the original did not have the image of Mick himself. That was added for this posting. Our condolences to his family and friends. If we get any information regarding services we will post here. Action in Las Vegas We also have a video of this run and will post soon. The other is a pic of the wild Funny Car final last weekend when Mindy Fry tagged the wall, ripping the body off the Future Flash Charger. Last time we checked, Fry was not on the list of drivers coming to Mission for the Open July 26/27, but with this group of racers you just never know.
Hey LP, It has been one of the most successful sponsorships in Division Six history. You can't beat the service that Mike, Russell, and the rest of the gang give to the N.W. Division Racers. This is a case of two first class operations joining together
for the benefit of a great group of people. Congratulations to all!
Freeway Trailer now exclusive Washington State HH video

We've been a fan of Freeway President Mike Rendel (photo) since the days of the Lil Boss Truck Ranchero back in the 70s so it's too cool when we get an opportunity like this. For Seattle area people who don't like to order online or wait for delivery, there is now a place close to home where you can just pop in an pick up whatever you need. There'll have a television playing the videos full time right in the showroom so you can even preview before you buy. It's a big move for HH, and we could not be happier with the people we've partnered with. Mike, along with Russell Stevenson, will be doing some extra promo that we simply did not have the resources to do. A big HH thank you to the entire Freeway team! Freeway Trailer is located right alongside Interstate 5 at 7100 Pacific Hwy East, Milton, WA, 98354, 1-800-992-5644 or 1-253-922-0771. http://www.freewaytrailer.com/

Mission is rained out for today, but will try again tomorrow. Depending on a number of factors including the weather and the car count they may try for a double header on Sunday, but will make the final decision on that tomorrow morning.
