click for larger version The action begins at Firebird Raceway in April where you'll see the amazing A/SA & A/S shootout including the likes of Bobby DeArmand, Robert Pond, Don Little, Joe Aluise and a half dozen more go for Stock Eliminators most coveted record. Other features include the debut of Top Comp and some wild, squirrly runs, Mitch McDowell's amazing half track powerstand in his AA/FC, along with shots of Rick Santos, Melanie Troxel and many, many more.
We continue onto Mission where we see some gigantic Super Stock and Stock wheelstands (not to mention a near blowover from a Federal Mogul Dragster) then Pat Austin's unbelievable top end explosion...you have to see it in slow motion to believe it! Our next stop is the Eagle Motorplex and all the wildness from what may well be the final ever Federal Mogul event at this track. Next up is the crazies of the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association featuring six second Nitro Harleys, seven second turbos, amazing burnouts, and some very sideways runs. We then go to Seattle Int. Raceway and see Funny Cars all over the track, then the quickest ever side-by-side FMFC race in history. You'll see much more, including the first six second Top Comp run by a nitrous doorslammer, before we move on to Woodburn Dragstrip for their Federal Mogul. A ton more Stockers and Super Stockers on the bumpers including some seldom seen Div. 7 cars. We'll also show you the zanny Golf Cart Nationals, an FMD into the wall, and some very cool and unique cars including a twelve second blown 4WD!!! Chevy Pickup, and a blown and injected Mazda rotary powered Top Comp dragster. Up next is the National Open at Mission where you'll see the debut of Warren Johnson including his 201.97mph pass on Friday along with his super secret engine combo that people are still wondering about. The BC Oldtime drags at MRP is also here featuring a big street rod wheelie, feature cars the likes of Pro Mods and nostalgia slingshots and the quickest rods in the Northwest.
Then there's the hilight feature of this video. The 1999 Pepsi Nightfire Nationals from Firebird in Boise. You'll see Fuel Altereds under the lights, nitro nostalgia dragsters, fuel floppers, a jet car engine explosion at night! The biggest field of Pro Mods ever assembled on the left coast including Charles Carpenter from South Carolina in his nitrous shoebox. Maybe the hilight of this one are the extended night sequences of Mike Boyd driving the legendary Winged Express AA/FA...it'll give you goose bumps!...but wait there's a LOT more yet!
We'll take you back to Mission for the giant CMDRA bike drags where you'll see the quickest and fastest runs in Canadian history, even more out-of-control motorcycles and a Harley fireball/explosion that you'll want to play back again and again. We'll also go back to the Eagle Motorplex,, see some of the improvements and witness the best Funny Car burnouts we've seen in decades. By now it's October and Mission is a wheelstand jungle. Watch cars go skyward over and over again. To end this two hour tour you get to see the best street cars in the northwest battle it out at MRP. Including killer shots of Don Murray, Bad Bob from Oregon and many, many more. The tape ends with an exclusive in-car sequence of Glen Braid's blown smallblock Mighty Mouse on a seven second pass.
